Die-Cut, Kiss-Cut, or Crack-N-Peel: Which Custom Sticker Actually Fits Your Job
Share
Custom stickers aren't a one-size-fits-all order — "die-cut," "kiss-cut," and "crack-n-peel" describe genuinely different products, and picking the wrong one usually means a shape you didn't want or an application process that's more fuss than it needed to be. Here's the actual difference.
Die-Cut Stickers
Our die-cut stickers are individually cut into any shape or size you want, in high-gloss paper or matte vinyl, with slits in the liner so peeling and applying is easy. You can choose a clean white border or go full bleed for a seamless look (we recommend adding lamination if you go full bleed, since it protects the edge artwork from wear). This is the format for custom shapes, small runs, testing a new design, and short-term promos or event stickers — if you need a specific perfect circle or a fully custom waterproof shape, our circle waterproof and custom die-cut waterproof calculators are dedicated versions of the same idea.
Kiss-Cut Sticker Sheets
Our kiss-cut sticker sheets are cut with a blade that scores through the sticker layer without cutting the backing liner, so everything stays neatly in place on one sheet until it's peeled. Sold by the sheet rather than by sticker count, this is the format when you want multiple designs — or one big design — together in one order: sticker packs, branding kits, event favours, or anything meant to be peeled off and stuck on laptops or water bottles one at a time.
Crack-N-Peel Stickers
Our crack-n-peel stickers are individually cut squares or rectangles in high-gloss paper or matte vinyl, named for how you apply them — bend the liner to crack it, then peel. Backed by a strong permanent adhesive, they're built for fast, simple labeling: cosmetic and skincare packaging, product boxes, custom wine labels, gifts, birthdays, and general business use where you just need a label on quickly.
The quick way to decide
Need a custom shape, or just testing a design? Die-cut. Ordering a collection of designs or one sheet with several stickers on it? Kiss-cut. Just need a straightforward square or rectangle label applied fast, and permanently? Crack-n-peel.
